Next Chapter New Life by Sue Larsen. FOCUS mind plus body SWOONERS. Cristina Calero

Next Chapter New Life

by Sue Larsen

Once I was good enough,
Yes, he saw me in the buff
40 years of happiness,
Turned into 3 years of crappiness
He has moved on,
While I feel like singing a song
Because one day I will meet the man with powers;
To give me a big bunch of flowers
He will appreciate my love call,
And I will love him with my all.
So, all you handsome single men out there,        Love is in the air.

Dreams Are Free by Martin Doy. FOCUS mind plus body SWOONERS. Cristina Calero

Dreams Are Free

by Martin Doy

After a night of wine and dine,
And dancing fine
They moved to the room
Curtains open, by the light of the moon
First a kiss
Tentative, the nerves his
She more direct, more sure of intent
Slowly their garments are shed
A cat meows under the bed
Onto which they fall entwined
That’s when it ends this dream of mine.

The Carpenter's Daughter by Erin Sulman. FOCUS mind plus body SWOONERS. Cristina Calero

The Carpenter’s Daughter

by Erin Sulman

The maid was dressed as an angler’s fly
With barbs and feathers and strings to tie
And cast herself to the rivers and seas
To catch the mermen three by three.

As flotsam she drifted o’er the leagues
Her sweet scent behind her bled through the weeds.
Her lonely tears of brine had found
Not fishermen now but men long drowned.

Then hook bit hard and cane did bend
Daughter cried and line it sang
As father pulled his chest did split
To see his heart’s pearl’s distress.

Neptune’s sons were cast ashore
Following after such pretty allure
To leave behind their song and wine
No more on fish but flesh they’d dine.

Welcome To La by Don Tonic. FOCUS mind plus body SWOONERS. Cristina Calero

Welcome To La

by Don Tonic

As the winter fades,
My grey skies blaze to everglades
As the winners fall, I stay,
Emblazed in why I came.

Show me the way,
Tell me all my dreams won’t fade
Show me the wave,
Let me ride my way to –
Outerspace.

The Grove by Quincy Waxman. FOCUS mind plus body SWOONERS. Cristina Calero

The Grove

by Quincy Waxman

In this grove, all sound is ours.
On this night, all trees are towers.
They hold limbs that quiver with blood, electrified,
As hands that tremble over clothes, now denied.

His skin scented with sun-kissed gold; I breathe his heat; I lose my feet, to the air expelled from kisses we birthed;
when time and the Sun, were not yet old.

In this grove where my body is his, placed on an altar of fragrant bliss,
I know I am here, I know I am alive,
to my own wild magic, to a man with whom I can thrive.

She by Howie Cooke. FOCUS mind plus body SWOONERS. Cristina Calero

She

by Howie Cooke

she
was carved from solid chocolate
dark and smooth
with the promise of sweet excess
her lips blushing
roses rising
in a drunken cherry tree

from a single glance into her eyes
crazed moons
slinking across obsidian skies
i stumble through molten lava

her every curve and tangent
arch in a perfection
that defeats all sculpture

on a panther trail
in naked feet
she softly pads her way to me

a furnace of fugitive clefted yearning
being delivered to my heart
carved butter melting
in a Van Gogh field
of sunflowers burning

Wonder by Samantha Grey. FOCUS mind plus body SWOONERS. Cristina Calero

Wonder

by Samantha Grey

Dark eyes that see
Search
Soul deep

Touch like fire
Lava
Skin like silk

Embrace entwine
Clutch
Flesh tingles

Bright stars align
Explode,
heart sings

Embracing The Day by Sheree Vicary. FOCUS mind plus body SWOONERS. Cristina Calero

Embracing The Day

by Sheree Vicary

She felt the raw earth under her bare feet.
She felt grounded in nature and her heart was complete.

She felt the warm sun on her face, and the light breeze in her hair,
that moment in nature, free, without care.

She was grateful for this moment that was hers to embrace; just taking time out for herself, at her own pace.

History Repeats Upon A Whim by Martin Doy. FOCUS mind plus body SWOONERS. Cristina Calero

History Repeats Upon A Whim

by Martin Doy

As our tongues danced a tango I remember the way
The light shone a halo, the brightness of day
You perched all in black in the window-stall
Then flashing your secret, was “Sexy” the call?
But back to the present, your smile as we part
Hands held behind your back, all defences depart
Like when you lay and hands did roam
Friends can’t believe how close we’ve come
But tease and pose, uttering whispers of “Love”
That to the witness must mean so much
Tears that burst as songs rang out
And music as a gift, did you play it loud
Then dance with all limbs a’flow and in tune
Desire eternal lasts April ’til June.

Honey Songs by Bunny Calero. FOCUS mind plus body SWOONERS. Cristina Calero

Honey Songs

by Bunny Calero

Bees sing honey songs, whispering secrets
There’s a map and a journey in the dances they dance, and…
flowers are swaying along the tree branches
for the nectar intoxicates, and entrances

Your sweet kiss invites me in for a swim,
this is where I found my lost things
Blueness and goldness warm my skin,
appearing and disappearing – in

Nothingness glows my mind around and
I am ‘now-here’, joined in a blanket of stars.
Your nebula heart; a rhythmic Universe,
beating our hearts into celestial bodies;
so entwined, I don’t know where I end and you begin…

Feel

by Olive McLeod

Sick slick lick
There is throbbing from my belly through my heart encasing my throat and tingling my ears.
Highly charged and sparkling
we meld,
not into one,
but into each other anew.

Eye To A Fantasy by Martin Doy. FOCUS mind plus body SWOONERS. Cristina Calero

Eye To A Fantasy

by Martin Doy

All night you slept a metre from me, we both too afraid to speak
But now morning has broken sunny, all I’ve had a sneak peek
Your thigh exposed, outside the sheet, palms a’rest in your lap
Now you stand in t-shirt and panties and I think I’m going to collapse.
You leave to shower, I’m trying to breathe, gasping over grinding teeth
I hear the door shut and the toilet flush but don’t hear the turn of the key
Then I leap to my feet, like a much younger man, place my eye to the doors’ keyhole
Is she singing in there or thinking out loud, I wonder “What will they be told”?
But I see nothing, view blocked, I’ve missed what may be my last chance
The damn key is in the lock, I am denied again,
I’m left a frustrated man.

Remember by Bobby Pajuoja. FOCUS mind plus body SWOONERS. Cristina Calero

Remember

by Bobby Pajuoja

Remember us laughing remember our smiles,
Remember our love so sparkling and wild,
Remember the first time that we kissed,
Remember our world a time I truly miss,
Remember the simple things that made us glow,
Remember us as one and ready to grow,
Remember the magical smiles in our eyes,
Remember our love like a dreamy carousel ride.
Do you remember when our world came crashing down and nosed dived?
Do you remember the tears as we said our final good bye?

Do you remember…?
