A TINY BIT ABOUT FOCUS mind+body

AND ME,
CRISTINA CALERO

Cristina Calero at the gym 2025

I have spent my life moving through a range of creative industries, beginning as a professional make-up artist in film, television, and commercial production. Alongside that work, my music career grew, and I became a touring singer-songwriter and musician with several releases and recording deals across Australia, the USA, and Canada. My songs have appeared in films, and I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with Oscar and Grammy award–winning artists.

These experiences—working closely with creative people and witnessing the many ways they bring ideas to life—continue to shape and inspire my own practice. Today, I craft boutique-batch, artisan-made creations designed to encourage, support, and uplift the creative soul.
FOCUS mind + body started as a little Lifestyle Brand, type of thing…
An ever evolving, morphing entity that I started as a result of… well… needing to be busy while being ‘in-between jobs.’
The word ‘focus’ kept being scribbled on bits of paper, pinned to my mirrors, texted to myself at 3am, spied across traffic lanes from my trusty, slightly crusty, 1994 Toyota Corolla and then one day – BOOM! there it was –
FOCUS mind + body

And that was the only way that my life was going to turn around and make sense to me again. That beautiful combination of movement and music, fitness and fun, laughter and spirituality, words and writing.
These things make sense to me.
These things matter.
These things are worth devoting my FOCUS and energy to, and my hope is that you, my for now, unseen friend; resonate with this.
Well, it’s turning out to be soooo much fun and just so creatively fulfilling, that it’s now a full-time career. Woohoo!
This is a good midlife crisis to be having, haha!

For now, and until I step a little further out of the introvert ‘story’, here are some happy snaps of my life and some souls that I have shared wonderful times with.
Bliss and blessing,
Cristina XOX
